I normally want to give anything by C.L. Stone five stars but I had to take away one on this one (mostly because I couldn’t take just half a star away). The story it’s self was very well written. I fell in love with the characters. But I felt the ending was very rushed! These characters had gone through so much! They deserved so much more than a wrap up of maybe 3 pages (I have the font blown up on my kindle to read without glasses so I’m not sure of the ‘real’ page count) this in no way changes my mind about C.L. Stones books (I will continue to preorder as fast as they get posted) but the ending made left wanting.
i got a slow start to this book well... because the premise was rather odd. but it ended up a beautiful exploration of human nature (and a HEA RH to boot!).p.s. i totally would have lost the bet! hahaha
A favorite author - this book is VERY different from her other works. I quit reading it at one point because it was so uncomfortable to read. However, I went back and finished it, and I am glad I did. Loved the ending!
Love the moral of the story! The guys are great! I absolutely loved Adelina's heart! The men around her especially Shaytan were pretty amazing!
But it! They story was compelling and driven by a very capable, badass women. I would for sure but another book set in this world!
I absolutely loved this book. Everytime I thought the story would go one way, it suddenly turned another way. Wish this was not a standalone, I'd like the story to continue.
Well written story by a wonderful author. Kept me engrossed throughout the entire book, which I read in one day.
There was enough in this story to keep me reading, as I wanted to see what happened to Thorne and then how Adeline handled being on her own, and then of course, how she managed to go 7 years. And the men she became involved obviously saw more then her appearance
